Anne Kirsten Fjeld

Anne Kirsten Fjeld is an encaustic intermedia artist based in Union, Washington, where the forests, tides, and quiet rhythms of Hood Canal inform her creative practice. Working with beeswax, mixed media, image transfer, and found materials, she creates layered works that explore memory, transformation, resilience, and the spaces where personal and collective stories converge.
A member of International Encaustic Artists and an active participant in the Enso Circle Residency, Fjeld’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private and institutional collections. Her process embraces curiosity, texture, and the belief that meaning often emerges through accumulation rather than certainty.
Whether through abstraction or the human figure, each piece invites viewers to pause, look more closely, and discover the quiet narratives suspended beneath the surface.
